AS/NZS 2430.3.6 designates the interior of a fume cupboard as a Class 1, Zone 1 area. To be designated "NH" (Non-Hazardous) in accordance with AS/NZS 2430.3.6, fume cupboards that are fitted with General Purpose Outlets (Switched Socket Outlets) and/or flammable gas supplies are required to have a Fume Cupboard Control System fitted in accordance with Appendix "A" of the AS/NZS 2430.3.6. Hamilton Australia has developed a range of fume cupboards controllers that exceed the requirements of the relevant Standards.

Whilst fully complying with AS/NZS 2243.8, AS/NZS 3000 and BS7258, the Hamilton fume cupboard controllers offer the following additional benifits:

True air velocity sensing through the fume cupboard exhaust system
Accurate sash position sensing allowing instant exhaust/supply air volume changes inter-connecting with sash height
Back-up battery operation during power failure
Dual, infinitely variable, 0-10 volt VAV outputs for variable speed exhaust fan, modulating damper and/or supply air system. This allows the fume cupboard controller to offer any of the standard energy saving options available in the market place today
